Remember cute little Colton? He’s grown up so much this past year, is almost two years old, and now is also a big brother! Baby Brooklyn joined their family just a few months ago and it was so much fun meeting her and seeing the family again. We had so much fun roaming around Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. The weather was lovely and the leaves were so gorgeous!
These kids just make my job look like a piece of cake! I always love our sessions with the Stewart family and I can’t believe how much Catalina and Branden have grown. They are incredibly photogenic and were just so much fun!
Brandy and Charles have a lot to celebrate. Eleven years married… They met in the Army when Charles walked in late to a meeting and Brandy remembers that “the room stood still.” He definitely caught her attention! After a few months of working together and slowly becoming friends, Brandy was diagnosed with cancer. Being away from home, her Army friends became like family and Charles began visiting her in the hospital. Visits became more frequent and they just connected. After she was well enough to be released, he surprised her by arranging a road trip so she could visit her family. When they arrived after hours on the road, she introduced him as her boyfriend and they’ve been together ever since!
Charles has some huge career achievements coming up. He’s currently a First Sergeant / Aviation Specialist Officer in the Army. And next month, after 22 years of service and several deployments overseas, he will be retiring! It was super exciting to be able to photograph them as a couple and honor their lives together.

Look at this precious little face! Miss Brooklyn is just the absolute cutest! She was a complete doll and slept almost the entire session. She’s one lucky lady, with loving parents and a wonderful big brother. Noah was a little sweetheart, continually kissing her forehead and looking to see what she was doing. And with his love of trains, we just had to add that into a few photos with him and his new sister; which turned out so adorable!
After the family session with their sweet boys, I met up again with Phillip and Angela separately, to photograph them. Only them, as a couple in love. They recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary so it was a perfect excuse to get them away from the daily life of work, boys and busy schedules to take a few moments for being affectionate, romantic and capture their love.
