Alice worked with her mom in the restaurant that was on the lower level of their house. They served many of the soldiers since the restaurant was across the street from the Woodrow Wilson Army Hospital. Metro worked at the hospital and met Alice through coming to the restaurant and flirting with the pretty waitress. They dated for about 6 months and were married.
